The football seasons have ended in most countries around Europe, but the game still goes on for the internationals, as countries continue their quest to spend next summer in Poland and Ukraine as part of Euro 2012.

Friday nights action doesnt see any of the home nations involved, but there are some important games involving some of the big nations. Germany, France and Italy will all be looking for victories to see them a step closer to securing qualification.

In Group A, Germany travel to near neighbours Austria for a local derby. Joachim Lows side look comfortable in their bid for qualification as they lead second placed Belgium by a huge five points having played a game less. Victory in this fixture may well guarantee their place in Poland and Ukraine.

You have to fancy them to maintain their 100% record in the qualifying campaign so far against the Austrians. Austria will need a miracle in order to qualify and their squad is nowhere near as good as the Germany one. They do include familiar names to British fans in former Middlesbrough defender Emanuel Pogatetz and West Bromwich Albions Paul Scharner, but they dont possess anyone who will frighten the Germans.

Germany are rightfully strong favourites at 4/11 (general) with Austria available at a huge 8/1 (Bet365, Totesport) with the draw at 4/1 (Coral, Victor Chandler). For a good value bet, why not try Mesut Ozil for first goalscorer, which can be backed at 31/4 (Unibet). Germany should triumph comfortably, and a 3-0 away win is! 17/2 (Skybet).

Italy top Group C, and on Friday they host Estonia. Cesare Prandelli has AC Milans Andrea Pirlo at his disposal, but one player who will not feature is Manchester Citys Mario Balotelli who is suffering with a knee injury.

If the bookmakers are to be believed, Estonia have no chance in this one. They dont have any household names, although British fans may recognise Middlesbrough midfielder Tarmo Kink, and they will struggle to trouble a strong Italian side who are on the road to recovery following a shocking showing at the World Cup last summer.

Italy are best priced at 2/11 (William Hill), with Estonia a massive 18/1 (Bet365, Stan James) and a draw at 13/2 (Victor Chandler). You cant see anything but a home win, but at that price, you wont win that much. Liverpools forgotten man, Alberto Aquilani, who has spent this season at Juventus, could be a good bet for first goalscorer at 12/1 (Paddy Power).

In Group D, France travel to Belarus in what could be a tricky fixture for Laurent Blancs side. France top the group after five games but Belarus lie second and will be looking to pull themselves closer to the Franch with a victory in this clash.

The Belarusians are however without some of their best players, including former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Aleksander Hleb, so they could find it difficult. The French have put a! very st rong squad together, which includes Marvin Martin of FC Sochaux who receives his first call-up to the international side.

France are favourites and should come out on top at a best price of 4/7 (Skybet, 888 Sport, Betfred), with a Belarus win available at 6/1 (Coral) and the draw at 3/1 (Bet365, Victor Chandler). Chelseas Florent Malouda could be one to watch in this one, and he is priced at a very tempting 8/1 (bwin) to open the scoring.
