June has been dogged with ill luck, missed chances and a lack of consistency on my part. The weekends seem to be profitable and we landed a couple of doubles last week that paid nicely. However, midweek has been less fortunate and I will need another profitable few days to get back on track.

For punters it has been a hive of activity in the transfer markets with ple! nty of t asty moves happening. Chelsea have landed probably the best signing of the summer by securing the services of Andre Villas Boas on a three-year contract. If it was up to me, I would have given him a 30-year contract.
This young man was born to coach and I have no doubt he will be a huge success at Stamford Bridge. A scouting report he did for his old boss Jose Mourinho has been doing the rounds on the internet and no doubt a few of you read his analysis on Chelsea - Newcastle back in 2005.
His observation and detail was incredible especially for one so young at the time. It's a fine read for anybody who has daydreams of being a coach as the Portuguese tactician dissected the Geordies with formidable insight. One amusing part was when he referred to Newcastle's then strike pairing of Michael Owen and Alan Shearer as world class which even in 2005 was pushing it a bit.
Villas-Boas' record and work to date has been exceptional. His Porto team won the whole lot last season and you can get decent prices on how successful he will be at the Bridge.
